Black-Crowned Night Heron

I found this little one after a week of heavy rains which flooded every creek, pond, and river in the area. It was around sunset and freezing outside, but I was still curious if anything interesting might be at our local park. Sure enough, this little guy flew overhead and landed at the edge of the floodwater nearby, then just sat there a few yards from me for awhile. I captured this little wild moment in time for you to enjoy for as long and as often as you want with this unframed photo print.
